digitalswitzerland is a Swiss-wide, cross-industry initiative that aims to strengthen and anchor Switzerland as a leading global location for digital innovation. Under the umbrella of digitalswitzerland, more than 220 association members and non-political foundation partners work together transversally to achieve this goal.
We addresses all aspects of digitalisation and are committed to solving corresponding social, economic and political challenges. digitalswitzerland works to ensure that the potential of the digital future is recognised, promoted and harnessed by decision-makers in politics, business, research and education, civil society and the general public.

DigitalZurich2025
DigitalZurich2025 was founded by Marc Walder of Ringier and a founding committee of 15 members with the aim to position the greater Zurich area as an attractive place for digital startups, organisations and talents.
KickStart Accelerator
KickStart Accelerator was founded in order to bridge the gap between startups, corporates, cities, foundations and universities to accelerate deep tech innovation and more.
DigitalZurich2025 turns into digitalswitzerland
Our mission expanded and our aim became to make Switzerland a leading digital innovation hub. With the intention to serve all of Switzerland, DigitalZurich2025 became digitalswitzerland.
Digital Day took place for the first time
We held the first Digital Day in Chur, Geneva, Lugano and Zurich, an event aiming to create a dialogue with civil society around all things digital. Digital Day later became digitalswitzerland’s annual flagship event.
WEF Breakfast in Davos
The WEF Breakfast was initiated on behalf of the annual WEF in Davos. We bring together leaders from the digital field to create connections, inspire one another and co-create the future of Switzerland.
Governmental Advisory Counsel on Digital Transformation
We received the great honour from the federal government to coordinate the advisory board on digital transformation and to evaluate politically relevant topics in consultation with our members.
Supporting startups as SwissTech
Together with our partners Presence Switzerland, Switzerland Global Enterprise, innosuisse and Swissnex, we bring outstanding Swiss startups and corporations to the leading tech conferences around the globe.
Swiss Digital Initiative
digitalswitzerland kicked off the Swiss Digital Initiative with the aim to bring ethical principles and values into technologies through concrete projects.
Merge with ICT Switzerland
Together we will expand the public dialogue through Swiss Digital Days and other programmes and strengthen its commitment to digital issues at a political level, for example, by supporting the rapid introduction of E-ID, strengthening MINT (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, and technology) vocational training and promoting the startup ecosystem in Switzerland.
